Kurnool: Srisailam Temple Executive Officer K S Rama Rao has said that elaborate arrangements are being made to handle the huge rush of devotees on November 29 and 30. Convening a meeting with the officials concerned at Administrative building here on Thursday, the EO said on November 29 (Sunday) and November 30 (3rd Karthika Somavaram) were auspicious for devotees. On November 29 (Sunday) evening, Jwalathoranam would be organised at Gangadhara Mandapam similarly Punya Nadhi Harati at Pathala Ganga, Laksha Deepotsavam and Pushkarani Harati would be organised at Pushkarani. On November 30 (Monday) evening, the 3rd Karthika Somavaram, Laksha Deepotsavam and Pushkarani Harati would be organised at Pushkarani, said the EO.

He further stated that devotees would attend these two programmes in large numbers. He ordered the officials concerned to ensure that every devotee that visit the occasion should wear mask. Besides wearing masks, the devotees have to maintain social distance at queue lines and at arjitha sevas. The EO has ordered the officials to observe change in temple timings on both Sunday and Monday.

He said the temple doors would be opened at 3 am. After opening the temple doors, spiritual music, suprabhata seva and morning prayers would be offered. At 4.30 am maha mangala harathi would be performed at both temples (Swamy and Ammavaru). Sarva Darsham would be allowed since 4.30.am.to till 4.30 pm. Later in the evening from. 5.30.pm.to 10 pm Darsham will be allowed, stayed KS Rama Rao. He said arjitha abhisekams would be organised in five phases. The first phase would start at 6.30 am at Alankara and Kalyana mandapam, 2nd phase by 8.30 am at Alankara mandapam, 3rd phase by 11 am at Alankara and Kalyana mandapam, 4th phase by 1.30 pm at Alankara and Kalyana mandapam and the 5th phase would start at 6.30 pm at Alankara mandapam.

Similarly, Arjitha Homams would be performed in two phases. Rudra and Mritunjaya homam would be performed at 8 am. And 10 am simultaneously at Swamy vari Yagasala. Chandi homam would be performed at 8 am and 11 am at Amma vari Yagasala.

The EO said around 9 laddu prasaadam selling counters have been arranged in view of devotees rush. Special arrangements have been made at Nagalakatta for organising Karthika Deepotsavam, added the temple EO.
