Kurnool: CPI opposes Centre's move to privatise government companies

Kurnool: The Communist Party of India (CPI) leader, K Ramanjaneyulu demanded the central government to withdraw the decision of privatising government organisations. With the demand, the CPI leaders staged stir in front of party office here on Thursday.
Addressing the gathering on occasion, Ramanjaneyulu alleged that the central government taking the advantage of lockdown, because people would not be allowed to agitate, has taken the decision to privatise governmental organisations. He said that railways, LIC, defence sector, mines and ISRO are going to be privatised. These sectors are rendering good services to the people and are reaping satisfactory benefits, said Ramanjaneyulu.
He further said if these governmental organisations go into the hands of corporate and multinational companies, then the nation will be forced to face great threat in future. The corporate and multinational companies for their self-gain would disclose the secrets of defence sector and the space researches by ISRO to other countries. Privatizing those sectors will fetch more problems to the nation rather than gains, Ramanjaneyulu said.
The Modi government should withdraw the decision of privatising the governmental organiations. AIYF state general secretary, N Lenin Babu, CPI leaders, SN Rasool, P Govindu, K Srinivasulu, Beesanna, Sri Ramulu, Sarath Kumar, Chandrasekhar, Babaiah and others participated and addressed the occasion.
