Lady constable commits suicide
A lady constable committed suicide hanging herself to the ceiling fan at her residence in the city on Monday due to alleged family disputes and the deceased was identified as Nagalakshmi, 26.
Nellore: A lady constable committed suicide hanging herself to the ceiling fan at her residence in the city on Monday due to alleged family disputes and the deceased was identified as Nagalakshmi, 26.
Nagalakshmi was from Kandukuru in Prakasam district and has been working in the communication wing at the District Police Office. She got married to Ashok Kumar three years ago and the couple is having disputes for some time and hence she has been residing near Police Grounds in Dargamitta along with her mother Prameela.
Nagalakshmi asked her mother to bring fruit juice from a nearby shop in the morning hours on Monday. When Prameela went out and came back. She found Nagalakshmi was hanging to the ceiling fan.
She informed to the police officials and the city DSP J Srinivasulu Reddy along with Dargamitta Circle Inspector M Nageswaramma visited the spot and collected de-tails. Police registered a case and were investigating it. They shifted the dead body to Nellore Government General Hospital for postmortem.
