Pithapuram: The local population in spiritual centre Pithapuram expressed their happiness for sanction of halt to Lokmanya Tilak Express (18519 and 19520) at Pithapuram in East Godavari from Saturday onwards.
The local leaders of BJP and other parties welcomed the train from Mumbai to Visakhapatnam at Pithapuram railway station on Saturday and garlanded the pilot and co-pilot.
It may be mentioned that the railway authorities sanctioned end halt to Konark Express at Pithapuram few days ago.
The Lokmanya Tilak Express is the second superfast train to halt at Pithapuram within a few days.
