As part of Police Commemoration Week, a medical camp was organised at District Police Office (DPO) at which health check-ups to police personnel family members were conducted.

Kurnool: As part of Police Commemoration Week, a medical camp was organised at District Police Office (DPO) at which health check-ups to police personnel family members were conducted. As many as 252 family members attended the medical camp.

The OSD Anjaneyulu and Armed Reserve ASP Radha Krishna inaugurated the medical camp. Doctors from Krishna Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS) conducted the medical tests. The doctors also checked blood pressure, sugar tests, echo cardio gram (ECG) and prescribed medicines.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the OSD said that police commemoration day will be observed on October 21. A week long programmes are being conducted at all police stations across the district.

He further said that it is better to take preventive care than to suffer from the disease later. Due to lack of awareness, several people are falling prey to diseases. Police personnel need to maintain good health. He thanked the Superintendent of Police (SP) Dr Fakkeerappa Kaginelli for organising medical camp and the doctors of KIMS for their cooperation.

Similarly, the Panyam police also organised mega blood donation camp at Panyam police station. Nandyal Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) inaugurated the blood donation camp. Police personnel, youths of Gadivemula and Panyam participated in large numbers and donated blood.

Panyam police station, Circle Inspector, Nagaraj Yadav, Sub Inspectors, head constables, constables and youths were present at the blood donation camp.
