Kurnool: Australian ace cricketer Adam Gilchrist appeared like a bolt from the blue in Kurnool district on Thursday at Pagidirai village in Pathikonda constituency where budding cricketers were promoted by the Rural Development Trust (RDT).

Interacting with the cricket enthusiasts, Gilchrist was all praise for the Indian cricket team and said it was in the best of forms. The Indian team is so ominous that other world teams are shuddering at its performance, he said.

Gilchrist said India promotes the game of cricket like cult and enthusiasts have numerous opportunities in this land of cricket, he said. Gilchrist came to India on an invitation from Village Energy and Microgrid Pilot projects. He interacted with high school students at Pagidirai and shared some tips to flex with bat.

Prior to reaching Pagidirai, he had a brief stay at RDT in Anantapur. Adam went around the stadium and inspected the arrangements. He lauded the stadium organisers for their keen interest to maintain the ground. Later, Gilchrist has interacted with the cricket enthusiasts.
