Amaravati: The Madiga Reservation Porata Samithi (MRPS) has given the call for a protest march to the AP Assembly. The leaders have demanded that CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy should withdraw his comments on SC categorization. In the context, they have planned to lay siege to the Assembly.
Over the protest, the police have arrested the MRPS leaders and placed them under house arrest at Thullur, Venkata Palem, and Uddandrayuni Palem.
The Guntur police imposed restrictions under Section 144 and Section 30 near Assembly and Capital region. The two police units also deployed more than 1,000 police personnel, including strike force, to prevent any untoward incident.
