MVGR College of Engineering celebrated 73rd Independence Day with a motto to promote ‘Service is Freedom.’
Vizianagaram: MVGR College of Engineering celebrated 73rd Independence Day with a motto to promote 'Service is Freedom.' On the occasion, Vice principal Dr Y M C Sekhar hosted the flag and the staff of college, students were participated in the event.
Sekhar spoke that we shall realise the current scenario of the country and act accordingly, further one should understand the sacrifices are being made by our soldiers for protecting our freedom and pay due respects to them. Commemorating the sacrifices of many a great martyr, the students organised rock band concert to showcase their patriotic fervour.
In addition, as part of 150th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Gandhi, NCC cadets, NSS volunteers, faculty and staff together held a rally from college campus to Ayinada Junction for spreading the preachings of Mahatma deep root into the minds of public in order to realise a true meaning of independence.
Further From the Youth For the People(FYFP) students unit planted 100 saplings in adjacent villages around the college. On the occasion, Dean students S Mohankumar called upon the youth to be responsible for protection of nature, environment and citizen rights.
