Nagara Panchayat workers stage dharna in Nandigama
The workers of engineering division staged a protest in front if Nandigama Nagara Panchayat here on Tuesday, demanding that the government fulfil their demands.
Nandigama: The workers of engineering division staged a protest in front if Nandigama Nagara Panchayat here on Tuesday, demanding that the government fulfil their demands. Speaking on the occasion, CITU mandal secretary K Gopal demanded that the government pay a minimum salary of Rs 18,000.
He also demanded that the workers should be recognised as government employees, all the pending arrears should be released and the workers who do not have house should be allocated pakka houses.
He further said that all the issues related to the workers should be solved soon failing which they would intensify the protest in the days to come. Engineering division workers Sreenu, V Ravi, Ashok, Das, Ravi and women workers participated in the protest.
