Nellore: Police book 8 cases against TDP leader for distributing essentials
He distributes essentials to the needy with party emblem which angered the ruling party leaders He dares the police to arrest him
Nellore: Former NUDA Chairman and TDP city president Kotamreddy Srinivasulu Reddy said the police had booked non-bailable cases against him just for initiating distribution of essentials to the needy people in the city and dared the government to arrest him. He addressed the media on Saturday.
He said that there was no reason for booking non-bailable cases against him and asked the police officials why they hadn't booked cases against the Minister and legislators who distributed essentials along with the party leaders and personal emblems violating the lockdown guidelines. He said the Minister Anil Kumar, legislators N Prasanna Kumar Reddy, K Sanjeevaiah, K Govardhan Reddy, K Sridhar Reddy and many other distributed essentials.
He said this only political vendetta where the police had booked eight cases against him just for visiting an area for distributing the essentials. He said he is not going to apply for anticipatory bail and will be waiting for the arrest by the police. He lamented that the administration in the district is acting like puppets in the hands of the ruling party leaders.
