Officials steps up the pace to finalise the reservations for local bodies in AP
The process of finalizing the reservations for the election of local bodies in the state is going at a brisk pace.
The process of finalizing the reservations for the election of local bodies in the state is going at a brisk pace. District collectors are releasing the gazette and forwarding it to the Election Commission for approval.
So far, the reservation for MPTC and ZPTC seats in 10 districts has been finalized while the reservations for Sarpanch and MPP in 10 districts except for Srikakulam, West Godavari and Guntur have also been finalized. On the other hand, reservations for ZPTC also completed at all ten districts except for West Godavari, Guntur and Chittoor districts.
The State Election Commission would upload the reservations once the officials forward the gazette notification. The reservation process of gram panchayat, municipal and municipal bodies and Zilla Parishad presidents is yet to be finalized in any district. The authorities are working to ensure that the village-wise reservation allotment process is completed as early as possible. Election Commission would issue a notification after the reservation process is completed.
