Ongole: The State Bank of India Deputy General Manager V Premji inaugurated the new, spacious and modern premises for shifting the Bazaar branch in Kurnool road to the building beside the Bachala Balaiah Kalyanamandapam, near Railway Station on Thursday while the regional manager V Krishnamohan inaugurated the branch manager cabin.

The DGM Premji said that they are launching the modern branch in Ongole just to provide more service to the customers and advised them to best utilize the services of the bank.

He said that by paying an annual premium of Rs 12, any customer between the age of 18 to 70 years can join Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and get a cover of Rs 2 lakh for loss of life or becoming handicapped in accidents.

He said the customers of age between 18 and 50 years may also join Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana by paying Rs 330 as premium for one year and get a life cover of Rs 2lakhs.

The regional manager Krishnamohan announced that housing loans, education loans, personal and MSME loans will be given in this branch. The SBI officers association regional secretary V Srinivasa Rao inaugurated the strong room, while SBI staff union vice president Vijayamohan inaugurated the Chief Cash officer cabin, BV Ratnam opened the locker room and Gupta opened the e-Lobby in the branch premises.

SBI chief managers P Krishnamurthy, P Harihara Prasad, Rajababu, Sankar, B Muralikrishna, district coordinator K Janakiramaiah, staff union regional secretary Narendra and other bank officers and staff also participated in the programme.
