Srikakulam: Open all closed Ayurvedic, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) clinics and hospitals across the State, appealed AYUSH wing doctors who are serving during current Covid pandemic.

The doctors met Minister for Animal Husbandry S Appala Raju at Srikakulam on Sunday night and submitted a memorandum in this regard. As per their plea, total 456 AYUSH clinics were closed across the State in 2016 due to lack of availability of medical officers under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM).

AYUSH wing doctors who are working during Covid pandemic should be given priority in these hospitals and also at YSR Urban clinics and other AYUSH dispensaries.

AYUSH doctors, Satwik, Praveen and Jai Kishore explained importance of these hospitals to serve people as alternative to the allopathic medicine. Minister assured to solve the issue after discussing with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy.
