The lucky passengers on board a bus run by a private tour operator are escaped unhurt as they jumped off the vehicle immediately after they observed the fire catching it, in Prakasam district on Tuesday midnight.

According to locals, the Volvo AC bus operated by the Kaveri Travels started with full of passengers from Kadapa on Tuesday evening and is en route Hyderabad.
The bus caught fire at Lingareddy Palle in Kanigiri mandal around midnight. The locals and passengers in the bus alerted the driver immediately to stop the bus and emptied the bus immediately, just to witness the fire engulf the vehicle.
The reason for the fire is suspected to be a short circuit, but the police officials announced that full details will be known only after they conduct a thorough inquiry.
