Permit fish tanks as per rules, officials told Collector
West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has instructed the officials to follow the rules strictly while allowing fresh water fish tanks in the district.
Eluru: West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju has instructed the officials to follow the rules strictly while allowing fresh water fish tanks in the district.
He addressed officials at the meeting of district-level committee on fresh water fish cultivation here on Thursday. The Collector warned the officials of stern action if they go on allowing the fish tanks without following the rules specified for the purpose.
While giving permission for fish ponds, the officials should take into considerations the suggestions of mandal-level and district-level committees on fresh water fish cultivation. The meeting discussed 20 items and the Collector gave specific instructions to the officials in this regard. Fisheries Joint Director, DFO (wild life), DD (groundwater) and other officials were present.
