Plea to establish home for children: T Vanitha
Members of AP Forum of Child Welfare Committees met Woman and Child Welfare Minister T Vanitha here on Thursday.
Vijayawada: Members of AP Forum of Child Welfare Committees met Woman and Child Welfare Minister T Vanitha here on Thursday. They congratulated her and also submitted a memorandum requesting the government to establish one home for mentally challenged and one home for children below five years in every district.
The team of Child Welfare Committees' chairpersons and members explained the need to improve the facilities in government-run Bala Sadans. Later, addressing the media they said that the minister responded positively to their request.
She also discussed with them about the present scenario of the child rights in the state. AP Forum of Child Welfare Committees convener BVS Kumar, co-convener M Madhavi Latha and member L Francis were in the delegation.
