Prepare plans for tribals development: Collector M V Seshagiri Babu
Collector M V Seshagiri Babu instructed the officials to prepare plans for the development of the tribal population in the district.
Nellore: Collector M V Seshagiri Babu instructed the officials to prepare plans for the development of the tribal population in the district. He visited the ITDA office on Tuesday and held a review meeting with the officials on various programmes. Addressing at a meeting, the Collector said that the ITDA had taken up various engineering works for providing basic amenities at Tribal schools.
'Officials extended financial assistance of Rs.9.12 Cr to 804 beneficiaries during 2018-19 and interviews are going on for providing loans to 723 beneficiaries for the 2019-20 fiscal year. He said the officials have also prepared proposals with Rs.70 crore for engineering works under sub-plan funds,' said the Collector.. He directed the officials to organise ST Sub Plan meeting with all departments on Dec 6.
Collector also directed the officials to take measures for providing employment opportunities to the tribal people by organising skill development programmes for 360 jobless youth under a special package. ITDA Project officer CA Mani Kumar, EE Srinivasan, APO Rosireddy, SSA Project officer Dr Brahmananda Reddy and others were present.
