Visakhapatnam: Competent teachers are considered the most important resource in any educational institution, GITAM Deemed to be University Vice-Chancellor K Sivaramakrishna said on Thursday. Inaugurating a workshop on teaching-learning skills for newly appointed faculty members organised by GITAM Centre for Learning and Sustainability, he mentioned that many inexperienced persons continue to enter the teaching profession without any formal training. "Teachers play an imperative role in the process of imparting knowledge. Lack of professional training leaves an impact on the learning outcomes of the students and quality education," the V-C observed.
GITAM Centre for Learning and Sustainability director S S Prasada Rao, workshop coordinator Tammi Reddy, among others attended the inaugural.
