Rajamahendravaram: Sub-Collector and Rajamahendravaram Rural segment returning officer CM Saikanth Varma has said that counting of votes will be held at Ideal College in Kakinada on May 23 from 8 am.

Speaking to counting duty staff at his office in Rajamahendravaram on Thursday, he said all the staff should report by 6 am at Ideal College without fail and asked them to extend their cooperation for the completion of votes counting peacefully.

As many as seven tables will be arranged for counting and five VVPATs kept on the table of returning officer and postal ballots will also be counted at the same time, he explained. One gazetted officer will also be appointed relating to postal ballot counting.

One supervisor, counting assistant and micro observer will also available at the counting point. Mobile phones, cameras etc are not allowed into the counting halls. Former MLC Adireddy Appa Rao, YSRCP candidate Routhu Suryaprakasa Rao and others were present.
