SC Commission member satisfied with welfare schemes
National Scheduled Castes Commission Member K Ramulu has expressed satisfaction over various welfare schemes being implemented in the State for the socio-economic uplift of the SCs.
Eluru: National Scheduled Castes Commission Member K Ramulu has expressed satisfaction over various welfare schemes being implemented in the State for the socio-economic uplift of the SCs.
He was received by Joint Collector N Tej Bharat and Social Welfare Deputy Director Rangalakshmi Devi at the Zilla Parishad Guest House here on Monday. Later, they briefed him on the various schemes implemented for the benefit of the scheduled castes.
The SC Commission member enquired from the officials about the efforts being made from the field-level to district-level with regard to the implementation of the welfare schemes. He told the officials concerned to create conditions wherein the Dalits should also compete with others in the society.
Referring to Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy extending 50 per cent reservation to weaker sections among the contract works, he called upon the officials to encourage scheduled castes to take up works and complete them with top quality.
