Srivani orders probe into 1.1 cr scam in GCC
Deputy Chief Minister and tribal welfare minister Pushpa Srivani ordered an internal inquiry into certain alleged irregularities in the Girijan Co-operative Corporation (GCC), resulting in a scam worth more than Rs 1.1 crore in the last five years.

Expressing shock over the unaudited accounts of the GCC in the last four years, she also directed the GCC authorities to conduct audit on the expenditure of the corporation for the last four years. The officials informed that there was a problem in conducting audit since the bifurcation of the state.
When the Dy CM asked what was the exact problem in conducting the audit, the officials could not explain proper reason, which irked her. Reacting on it, she immediately ordered to conduct the audit.
The Dy CM held a review meeting with the officials from the GCC including P A Shobha, MD and VC, and others concerned on Friday. Sources in the Dy CM office said that three officials allegedly indulged in corruption on which the TDP government too conducted a probe but no one was punished.
