State Pharmacologists conference begins in Vijayawada
A two-day Andhra Pradesh Pharmacologists Society first state conference commenced here on Friday.
Vijayawada: A two-day Andhra Pradesh Pharmacologists Society first state conference commenced here on Friday. The APPSCON- 2019 was held at Siddhartha Medical College on the topic 'Pharmacology in Public Health Perspective'.
The conference was organised by department of Pharmacology of Siddhartha Medical College, the Guntur Medical College in association with Andhra Pradesh Pharmacologists Society.
The chief guest of the programme was Siddhartha Medical College principal Dr T Rajya Lakshmi. She inaugurated the programme. Former principal Dr Shashank inaugurated knowledge centre at the conference while vice-principal Dr K Siva Shankar Rao inaugurated the souvenir and Dr P Nancharaiah, GGH Superintendent inaugurated Pharmacy vigilance programme on the occasion.
Speakers spoke on drug control, generic medicines, clinical trials and fixed drug combinations. Dr K Shankar, Dr A Meena Kumari, Dr B Madhavulu, Dr Soloman Raju and others participated in the conference.
