Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at KGH kicks off in Visakhapatnam
Naval Armament Depot (NAD) under Eastern Naval Command organised a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan clean-up drive in the superspecialty ward of King George Hospital (KGH) on Saturday.
Visakhapatnam: Naval Armament Depot (NAD) under Eastern Naval Command organised a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan clean-up drive in the superspecialty ward of King George Hospital (KGH) on Saturday.
About 100 employees of the depot including officers, work committee members and union office bearers participated in the clean-up drive which was organised as part of Platinum Jubilee celebrations of NAD, Viskhapatnam.
NAD was established in Aug 1944 and is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee this year. A series of activities are planned as a part of the celebrations which includes a technical exhibition on Naval Armaments and Ammunition from September 21 to 22 in NAD Colony.
The purpose of this exhibition is to create general awareness among the public and further cause of 'Make-in-India' initiative. A technical seminar on latest trends and life cycle management of Naval Armament and Ammunition is scheduled on September 23. The main function of platinum jubilee will be held on September 24.
