Tirupati: BJP activists protest distortion of Ramayan
BJP activists led by party state secretary G Bhanuprakash Reddy on Tuesday staged a protest at TTD Sri Kodandarama temple here condemning the distortion of the Valmiki Ramayan in an article published in TTD publication Sapthagiri monthly.

Speaking on the occasion, Bhanuprakash said that the story on Lava and Kusa of Lord Rama's family carried in Sapthagiri April issue maintained that Lava was the only son of Lord Rama and Kusa is the creation of Maharshi Valmiki. The distortion demeaned Lord Rama's family and hurt the sentiments of Hindus, the BJP leader said while demanding removal of Sapthagiri Editor from service and also an inquiry into the serious lapse on the part of TTD publication.
Interestingly, the TTD in an effort to improve the content in Sapthagiri, published in six languages, introduced recently articles from children so as to create interest among the children on our Sanathana Dharma and culture..
BJP leaders Samanchi Srinivas, K Ajay Kumar, Varaprasad and others also participated in the protest.
