Tirupati: Massive clean up done on Tuesday ahead of Brahmotsavam

Tirupati: Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam was performed in Tirumala temple on Tuesday.

It is a massive cleaning exercise covering the entire temple complex being conducted ahead of the nine-day annual Brahmotsavam which will commence on September 30.

The temple staff led by TTD Executive Officer Anil Kumar Singhal participated in the three-hour-long cleaning of the shrine.

After the cleaning, a specially made paste of various aromatic and insects repellant substances derived from plants was smeared on the walls, roof and joints giving a refreshing aroma inside the temple.
