Tirupati: City based NGO RASS observed `World Disabled Day' here on Monday. RASS president G Muniratnam explained the welfare progrmmes being implemented by RASS with the support of government for special and disabled children.

It runs day care centre, residential school for special children and financial support to disabled through separate SHG group for them. Canara Bank AGM KV Ramana Murthy, RASS general secretary S Venkataratnam and others also spoke. Special children and disabled performed cultural programmes.
