Transport workers body takes charge in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: The National Motor Lorry Transport and Quarry Workers Union's new executive body took charge at union office here on Thursday in the presence of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) East Godavari district president Vasamsetti Gangadhar Rao.
The new president is K Bhogiyya, general secretary P Papa Rao and vice-president N Krishna.
Later, Gangadhar Rao asked the new executive body to put their efforts to strengthen the union and implement welfare programmes for the members.
It is the duty of the elected candidates to take care of the members and also discuss with the respective managements, if they are having any problems.
The members of the executive body should not stick to the offices and enquire about the problems and health of the members and take necessary steps in this regard, he added.
