Vijayawada : Minister for Civil Supplies Kodali Sri Venkateswra Rao (Nani) and Hyderabad zonal general manager of Bank of Baroda Man Mohan Gupta formally inaugurated the renovated branch of the bank near Benz Circle here on Tuesday.
Kodali Nani expressed happiness that the Bank of Baroda is also extending financial support to the beneficiaries of the government-sponsored schemes.
General Manager Man Mohan Gupta said that the Vijayawada region which has 54 branches spread over two districts recorded a total business of Rs 14,945 crore as on September in the present financial year. He elaborated the services the BoB is rendering to the general public and the AP government.
He said that the BoB is one of the largest public sector banks in the country with 8969 branches doing a total business of Rs 16.73 lakh crore as on September this year. He said that the BoB has presence in 20 countries with 99 overseas branches.
Vijayawada regional manager Ch Rajasekhar, Guntur regional manager P Amarnath Reddy, deputy regional manager SR Tagore, Benz Circle branch manager V Ravindra Babu and other staff were also present.
