Vijayawada: Psychologists to counsel Covid-19 patients
Krishna district Collector Md Imtiaz on Monday said they have appointed five psychologists to conduct counselling to the Covid-19 patients suffering from mental agony.
Vijayawada: Krishna district Collector Md Imtiaz on Monday said they have appointed five psychologists to conduct counselling to the Covid-19 patients suffering from mental agony. He conducted a review meeting at his camp office here on Monday and reviewed arrangements for conducting counselling to the patients suffering from Covid-19.
He said at present there are five quarantine centres in the district. "We have appointed five psychologists. They will conduct counselling to the inmates of quarantine centers. Based on the mental condition of the patient, they will conduct counselling," he said. He said in addition to the five psychologists, state psychologists association president Dr TS Rao, vice-president Dr G Sankara Rao are conducting counselling free of cost.
The district administration has taken steps to check spread of Covid-19. He said in addition to five psychologists, Covid-19 patients suffering from mental agony may contact 9440150731, Dr G Sankara Rao, cell no 92464-99499 for free counselling. District Medical and Health officer Dr Ramesh, DRDA Project Director Srinivasulu were among those participated in the meeting.
