Sachets of milk, fresh flowers, eggs and specially made sweets were offered to Lord Nagendra by the devout who had a tough time in spotting an anthill in the neighbourhoods.

Recent rains that lashed the coastal region and rise in construction works attribute to the dwindling numbers of snake-pits across the city.
