Vizianagaram: B Appala Narasaiah, Gajapathinagaram MLA, here on Monday said the State government was giving top priority to education sector. He further said the government was improving amenities in school.
He was speaking at a function organised by a voluntary organisation, World Vision, on the occasion of donating laboratory equipment, LCD orihectir aand benches to the government junior college at Gantyada. The organisation also distributed financial assistance to 2,000 poor families by providing Rs 1000. As many as 390 pregnant women and 500 poor children were given food baskets consisting of nutritious food grains.
The MLA stressed the need for voluntary organisations to come forward and help the needy.
P Shyam Babu, district manager of World Vision, said the organisation would always help the needy.
