Amaravati: Union Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba on Thursday through video conference reviewed with the Chief Secretaries of various States the solar power generation projects under renewable energy programme of the Central government.

Rajiv Gauba instructed the Chief Secretaries to take action to complete the proposed solar power projects in time. He reviewed the progress of various projects and the necessary land acquisition for the projects.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney informed the Union Cabinet Secretary that the projects undertaken under Green Energy Corridor in the first and second phases are progressing, and they are at different stages. The 1,000 MW solar power park at Gani and 500 MW park at Talari Cheruvu in Kurnool district had started generating power, she said.

The Chief Secretary also said that the problems regarding 1,000 MW ultra mega solar park to be established in Kadapa district would be solved soon. She said the government is considering the allotment of necessary land to the SECI which came forward to establish a solar power plant at Kolimigundla in Kurnool district. Energy Department Secretary N Srikanth was also present.
