The People’s Action for Rural Awakening (PARA) organised a workshop on human rights at the Government Institution of Education Training at Minampadu on Friday.

Ongole: The People's Action for Rural Awakening (PARA) organised a workshop on human rights at the Government Institution of Education Training at Minampadu on Friday.

The college principal Dr K Venkateswarlu participated in the programme as the chief guest and said that the teachers should know about human rights and also the rights as teachers.

The PARA district coordinator and resource person Vemu Ramanjaneyulu explained that the respect over other person increases only when the opposite person try to understand him and it is an internal part of human rights.

He explained about the human rights, international civilian rights, India- Constitution- Civil Rights, Women's rights, child rights, Dalit rights and others to the teaching students. He wished that the teachers would become human rights experts in the future.

Later the principal inaugurated the handbook on human rights for the B Ed / D Ed students and distributed the same to the students. The college lecturer T Bhaskara Rao, NGO representative S Amrutha Raj and about 150 students also participated in the programme.
