Tension gripped in Anantapur district on the last day of filing nomination for the local bodies in the district. The YSRCP cadre have blocked the TDP and other party candidates from filing the nominations. The YSRCP ranks have attacked the TDP candidate at Battallapalli village of Dharmavaram constituency while filing the nomination.
On the other hand, Jana Sena candidate Madhusudan Reddy, who was has come to file the nomination as Obulapuram MPTC, attacked and nomination papers were torn. The Police have held lathi charge against YCP workers.
Earlier, the TDP leaders Bonda Uma and Buddha Venkanna have been attacked at Macherla constituency in Guntur who came to see the situation of nomination in the district.
