Rajamahendravaram: TDP senior leader Ganni Krishna has said that YSRCP government is foisting false cases against TDP social media activists to create panic among party cadre.
Speaking to reporters here on Thursday, he said if the postings in social media are false the government can take action against the respective persons as per IT 66 (A) 2002 Act and can send them to jail for three years.
But Apex Court bench headed by Jasti Chalmeswar and Bobday struck down the act saying that it is against to expression of speech, he added. YSRCP government setting aside the rules and acting on its own.
The government arrested Nanda Kishore in Visakhapatnam and Krishna in Nandigama alleging that the duo posted false information.
The people are watching the functioning of the government and they will teach a lesson to it, he said.
