Kurnool: TDP district president Somishetty Venkateshwarulu condemned the arrest of senior party leader Atchennaidu and stated that the YSRCP government headed by Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has been concentrating to take revenge on TDP chief N Chandrababu Naidu and other leaders of the party.

Several TDP leaders staged a protest in front of party office here on Friday condemning the arrest of Atchennaidu. Addressing on the occasion, Somishetty alleged that Jagan Mohan Reddy wants to suppress the people of Backward Classes (BCs), the strong hold of TDP.

``In the first instance, Jagan Mohan Reddy demolished Praja Vedika, then tried to submerge Naidu's residence, fabricated false cases and threatened the party leaders,'' Venkateshwarulu said.

He said that there was no development in the state during the one-year-rule of YSRCP. ``Jagan Mohan Reddy did nothing except taking revenge on TDP chief and party men. The illegal arrest of Atchennaidu was also done according to plan.

If he is not arrested, then he would point out the irregularities of the government in the Assembly session which is likely to start from 16th of this month. Before arresting a person, notice has to be served to him.

Police have to take the permission from the Assembly Speaker as he is an MLA. Without following the norms, he was arrested,'' alleged Somishetty.
