Actor Natalie Portman looked incredible in her simple design. But there is an important thing about the dress. The Dior cape has the last names of eight women directors of critically acclaimed 2019 films. She told that she wants to recognize the women who were not recognized for their work this year. The names of the directors on her cape are Lorene Scafaria (Hustlers), Lulu Wang (The Farewell), Greta Gerwig (Little Women), Mati Diop (Atlantics), Marielle Heller (A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood), Melina Matsoukas (Queen & Slim), Alma Har'el (Honey Boy), and Céline Sciamma (Portrait of a Lady on Fire).
