Karthi's 'Sultan' release date changed?

South hero Karthi joined hands with director Bakkiyaraj Kannan and is all set to come up with an action drama titled 'Sultan'.
Tollywood: South hero Karthi joined hands with director Bakkiyaraj Kannan and is all set to come up with an action drama titled 'Sultan'. Rashmika Mandanna is playing the female lead in this movie marking her Kollywood debut.
Featuring actors like Napoleon, Lal, Yogi Babu, Ramachandra Raju etc, the movie was supposed to hit the theatres on 2nd April 2021. But, as per the latest reports, the makers are planning to push the release date as the Tamil Nadu assembly polls are going to be held on April 6th. As releasing the movie just ahead of the polling might affect the collections, the makers are planning to look for another release date. The makers are yet to announce the new release date of the movie.
However, this decision of the producers prevented the clash between Karthi with Gopichand and Nagarjuna as Gopichand's 'SeetiMaarr' and Nagarjuna's 'Wild Dog' are also going to get released on April 2nd.
