In an unfortunate incident and a huge loss to Mollywood, Malayalam actor Anil Nedumangad suffered an accidental death on Friday while he was trying to take bath in Thodupuzha Malankara dam. He was aged about 48 years.
The actor drowned when he was trying to take bath along with two of his friends. He was at Thodupuzza in connection with the shooting of a movie. According to the initial investigation, the actor and his friends went to bathe in the Dam during the shooting break. When they entered deep into the water he was dragged into the whirlpool.
These details were given by a special branch officer of Idukki. Even though Anil was rescued and admitted to a nearby private hospital it was in vain. The body of the actor was handed over to Thodupuzza district government hospital.
Anil started his professional career as a TV anchor. Later, he played lead roles in the movies "Kammatti Padam", "Enjan Steve Lopez" and "Porinju Mariyam Jose". He was seen as a police officer in the recent hit movie "Iyyappanum Koshiyum" which brought him popularity. However, police are further investigating this case to ascertain there was no foul play in the actor's death..
