Young actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas' new film 'Rakshasudu' will be releasing on July 18, announced producer Havish on Saturday. The film, directed by Ramesh Varma of 'Ride' fame, is a remake of Tamil thriller 'Ratsasan'. It is a story of an upright cop who sets out to pin down a dreaded serial killer.

The investigative thriller has Sreenivas reprising Vishnu Vishal's role and Anupama Parameswaran stepping into the shoes of Amala Paul as the female lead. The teaser was unveiled by the makers on Saturday and looks like the makers have stayed true to the original.

The 50-second video reveals that the story revolves around a psychopath suffering from an anti-social personality disorder and how a sub-inspector, played by Sreenivas solves the case while going through a personal tragedy. Ghibran has scored the music for the film also featuring Rajeev Kanakala in a pivotal role. On the other hand, Sreenivas has been struggling to redeem his career with a hit and has pinned high hopes on the first remake of his career.
