Dhanush has a mission on hand

Tamil star Dhanush has to revive the interest of dubbed movies with his upcoming film 'Local Boy'(Pattaas in Tamil) since flops like 'Darbar' and 'Bandobast' have dented the ratings of Tamil movies in Telugu states.

Hence, Dhanush is all set to prove his mettle in 'Local Boy', which is set against the backdrop of Adimurai, an ancient martial art that was practiced in Tamil Nadu. He has played two roles in the movie.

Directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar, this mass entertainer is brought to the Telugu audience by Vigneshwara Entertainments' Ch Satish Kumar, while Mehreen plays the female lead.

Producer Ch Satish Kumar, says, "The film has a martial arts backdrop and has done well in Tamil Nadu. Dhanush's performance drew critical acclaim. He took special training to gain grip over martial arts.

The film has familiar faces in its cast and so, you will see it as a straight Telugu movie.
