Fake News, Says Puneeth Rajkumar On Cameo In Balayya Movie

A news about Sandalwood Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar working in an upcoming Tollywood movie featuring Nandamuri Balakrishna has been making the rounds in various media outlets for many days now.

It was being said that the Kannada actor would appear in a guest role of an honest police officer in Balayya's movie directed by Boyapati Shrinu. It was also said that the production team had requested that Puneeth alone should act in that role.

This news appeared on many Telugu websites and had gone viral. But now, Puneeth himself has issued a clarification about this rumour.

Telugu star NTR and Dr Rajkumar were were very close to each other. Now, their sons are maintaining the same rapport even today. Owing to this closeness, Dr Shivarajkumar acted in NTR's son Nandamuri Bala Krishna starrer movie 'Gowthami Putra Shathakarni' in a guest role.

Now, the news about Puneeth Rajkumar's participation in Balayya's movie has gathered steam. But now Puneeth has rubbished these reports as mere rumours. "I heard that I would be acting in Balayya's movie. I don't know how this news got spread. Our family is close to Balakrishna family and we share a great bonding since Appaji's days. They visit our family whenever they come to Bangalore right from the days when my father lived. In this context this news might have taken shape. But I have not got any call so far either from the team or anyone to act in the movie. This news is fake," says Puneeth Rajkumar.

Balayya has attended many a cinema programs of Shivarajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar as the guest. Even Puneeth was present during the promotion of Balayya's movie "Katha Nayakudu" in Bangalore. In this connection, there were rumours that Balayya would act in Puneeth Rajkumar's movie. Now, all the speculation have been crushed after sources close to Puneeth, too have denied this rumour.
