SP Balasubramaniam, the name will soon remind you of the innumerable songs that he has rendered. Not only South cinema, SPB has also sung some unforgettable numbers in Hindi for Kamal Haasan in Ek Duje Ke Liye and Salman Khan in Maine Pyar Kiya and Hum Aapke Hai Kaun among other movies. He is known as a versatile singer. He can sing a classical number with as much ease as a raunchy song.

Now, we all know that SPB was among celebrities invited by Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently. After attending the do, SPB put out a social media post on Facebook stating that they had been asked to strictly avoid carrying mobile phones. In fact the phones of the guests were kept safe at the entrance itself. But when the singer went inside, he saw Bollywood stars taking selfies with the Prime Minister. The disppointed singer posted a note on his Facebook page saying that he would have also liked to carry his phone if he knew other celebrities had carried it with them.

This post created a lot of sensation on social media and also became a talking point. However, after this came to the notice of the singer, SPB was upset saying there was a needless controversy being created over nothing.

We agree. We guess SPB's post only reflected his disappointment over having lost a chance to click a pic with the PM. Anyway, there is always a next time.
