Rohini Naidu is the only Telugu woman to have been shortlisted for the finals of Mrs India Worldwide to be held in Greece
Rohini Naidu, a Telugu woman from Telangana is in the finals of Mrs India Worldwide and the only Hyderabadi among the 172 finalists. A social activist, Rohini has her own NGO and is also an actor.
She worked in the recently released YSR biopic Yatra. In a freewheeling chat with Womenia, she shares about the beginning of the new phase…
On asking her about how she got an opportunity to participate in the pageant she said, "I have seen the notification on Facebook and happened to apply for the pageant.
Soon, after I gave the auditions I got the news that I cleared the sessions which assessed our personality, communication skills in the first round, followed by talent round where I happened to choose singing. "
Every woman moves on with a support system in their life and for Rohini it is her children. "My children have always been my support system for me and if I win this pageant I would like to dedicate it to my children."
Being the only Telugu woman has made Rohini even more special. "It is a matter of pride that I am the only Telugu woman among 172 finalists, who are going to showcase their talent at the competition that is going to be held in Greece in the month of October."
Speaking about the challenges that she had to face in the competition she says, "Making myself visible among so many women was quite a challenge and also competing with girls who are younger than me was a serious task."
Being crowned as Mrs Perfect Hyderabad and Mrs Urban India in 2019 was certainly a turning point for this beauty queen.
"I would want to continue in the modeling field and take this up as my career," says the multitasking mother of two, who has achived the perfect work-life balance.
She is currently busy preparing for the final contest.
