The proposed party of Tamil cine icon Rajnikanth may not be a successful one. His prolonged oscillation to jump into TN politics and his recent announcement of dropping the idea of entering politics owing to the prevalence of Covid-19 and his sudden announcement to enter the politics caused utter confusion in the minds of Tamil population. Firstly, he has no confidence in himself then how can he lead a 'not yet started' political party? He has several disadvantages as he has already crossed 70 years and maintains a poor health.

Many times he was hospitalised to cure from major ailments. After all, politics is not a three-hour show to impress his fans and audience with his gimmicks. He has to put a lot of hard work, but he has no time to organise a new party and prepare it to face upcoming State elections in 2021. What would be the fate of his party can be assessed by any sensible person. What happened to Kamal Haasan's party? Has anybody remembered his party? The same way, Rajni's yet to start 'Makkal Manram' also will go into oblivion. It may cause initial euphoria, but will die a natural death in the short run. Apart from his fragile health and advanced age, he says that his is a spiritual person and is associated with 'Swamy Dayananda's Arsha Vidya Ashram located in Anaikati (Coimbatore) and often participates in spiritual activities there. Can he sail in the existing politics full of filth? He has to face hardcore atheist party DMK and a well-run AIIADMK under the accidental Chief Minister E K Palani Swami (EPS). EPS gained the name as 'common man's CM'.

He braved so many odds and was able to successfully continue the government left abruptly by Jayalalithaa. He has the solid support of the BJP and both parties together are ready to face the electorate in the coming State elections. Against this background, it is better for Rajni to drop the idea of starting a new party and lead the remaining life peacefully in spiritual activities. I am sure if he hurries to jump into political fray, his party may be subjected to 'Bruna Hatya' (kill in the womb before birth). Hope wisdom will prevail over Rajni and he will drop the idea of running a party which is devoid of grass root cadres and established leaders. Rajni may learn a practical lesson from the neighboring State of Andhra Pradesh and study the history of megastar Chiranjeevi's flopped party and unending struggle of his brother Pavan Kalyan to make a mark in the State politics. He has to make a choice whether to live and die as a reel hero or to end up as another political clown.
