Karnataka: A report which was been claimed recently that 32 students who had appeared for the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam were tested Corona positive.

Karnataka Education Minister, S Suresh Kumar denied the report and confirmed that it is not true. Speaking to the media, Suresh Kumar said, "I can vouch for this that not even a single student got infected at the examination centers. The 32 students who were tested positive at various stages and were carrying the virus from other places."

In the Meantime, opposition leader Siddaramaiah on Saturday recommended that the Karnataka government find out whether the recently concluded SSLC exams was conducted safely by checking the primary contacts of patients testing positive for COVID-19.

Speaking on the issue, he said, "We will have to wait for 15 days to know the exact outcome. The state Chief Minister seems to be motivated & overconfident to conduct more exams after assuming that SSLC exams were conducted safely. I too hope that everybody are safe."

The Karnataka SSLC exam was conducted amid a lot of opposition from both public and parents. Earlier also a student was tested positive in the middle of Mathematics exam at a center located in Hassan district. The SSLC examination in Karnataka was conducted between June 25 to July 3, 2020.
