AISUB flays presence of Ulemas at CM's iftar party
The All India Sunni Ulema Board (AISUB), one of the organisations which gave call for boycott of CM’s Dawat-e-Iftar on Tuesday, strongly condemned the presence of Ulemas and scholars from the Muslim community at the event hosted by the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao.

Speaking to media persons at his office in Dabeerpura, AISUB president and supporter of Telangana movement, Maulana Hamed Hussain Shuttari said that ever since the State was formed the government had only shown tokenism by organising this kind of events during the past five years.
On the other hand, all those promises made during the Telangana movement and emphasised in the manifesto of TRS were not fulfilled yet. "The State government is trying to hush up the matter of mosque demolition at Amberpet by the GHMC. Despite all these issues the scholars were seen at the CM's Iftar party," he lamented.
The president of AISUB further said that during the past 5 years, the government had promised to ensure welfare of the Muslims, but not a single promise materialised. Many of the issues like Aler encounter, the case of Mecca Masjid bomb blast, 12 reservation amongst others which were buried.
Adding to the list, the recent issue of demolishing the 200-year old Ek-Khana Masjid and Ashoor Khana in Amberpet, which is fresh in the minds of community, was being undermined. He also questioned how the government was organising the iftar parties with funds from the minority welfare department budget.
"Apart from the representatives of Muslim organisations and political parties, many of the respected Ulemas and Maulanas attended the party. Even after appealing to the Ulemas for boycott of such Iftar parties, the Hyderabad's renowned Ulema were seen at the party and offering the dates to each other for breaking fast.
These Ulemas who have attended the party should focus on welfare of Muslims and see the difference between Halal and Haram. Unfortunately, none of them even raised their voice after the mosque at Amberpet was razed to ground," he said.
Appealing to the community, Shuttari demanded that these Ulemas should be boycotted and hoped that the Muslims would not invite them in any religious gatherings nor pay heed or attend to their sermons.
