Jeedimetla: Garbage has been piling up everywhere on the streets and in lanes even in developed colonies. The stretch from Quthbullapur to Chintal and Surraram to Jeedimetla is filled with garbage in all the corners of the street. Locals say, "GHMC is responsible for the ugly presence of garbage heaps everywhere. Sanitation workers, though visiting our localities regularly, seem to be leaving behind heaps of trash on roadside."

Shopkeepers demand that GHMC officials address the issue and ensure that the garbage is cleared regularly. It appears that neither the residents nor the GHMC officials seem to be concerned about lifting of the piled-up garbage. The whole area is littered with advertising pamphlets, proving an eyesore to the locals as well as commuters.

Speaking to The Hans India, some residents castigated that supervisors and contractors, who are responsible for monitoring the lifting of garbage bags, were whiling away their time at local hotels.
