Musheerabad: Various Backward Classes students and youth association members laid siege to the office of the Commissioner and Director of School Education (CDSE) here on Friday condemning the State government's failure to control private educational institutions from charging exorbitant fees. BC student association leaders Kulkacharla Srinivas, T Vikram Goud, and BC youth association president Kanakala Shyam Kuruma participated in the protests.

Speaking on the occasion, BC student leaders expressed their anger at State government's inaction and failure to control private institutions from fleecing poor and middle-class people. They alleged that corporate schools have been violating all the government norms and earning crores of rupees by exploiting the poor and middle-class people's desire for providing their children good education.

They expressed concern over the worsening situation in private schools and warned of attacks on school managements if the State government fails to address the issue. They demanded Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao to instruct the officials concerned to file PD Act cases on the school managements which violate norms, similar to the action taken against spurious seed vendors.
