Speaking at the session, the MLA promised to provide special facilities at the library for students who were preparing for competitive exams. A separate section would be allocated for students preparing for competitive exams. He said that the library had been of great help to many students who were selected as IAS and IPS officers.

Professor K Nageshwar suggested to the library authorities to conduct Spoken English classes in the library as it would create better employment opportunities. Although the mother tongue helps one to improve personal relationships, it is English which would help one gain worldly knowledge and get better employment opportunities, he stressed.

Explaining about the ways to excel in any subject, he advised the students to have passion for it and gain knowledge from different perspectives. He urged the Telangana government to establish a separate study hall in the library for students preparing for competitive exams.

Explaining various measures taken by the state government towards development of libraries, Ayachitham Sridar, the chairman of Telangana Granthalaya Parishad, said that the state government had been building several new libraries and was strengthening all the governing bodies of libraries in the state.

The new library built at Secunderabad was set to open very soon, he said. He added that several libraries with modern facilities would be established to help students.

Library Association chairperson Prasanna Rammurthy, secretary Padmaja, local corporator Muta Padma Naresh, TRS leaders Muta Jaisimha, Erram Srinivas Gupta, Gundu Jagadish, Muchakurthi Prabhakar, general secretary of Hyederabad Book Fair Chandramohan and others participated in the programme.
